Golden Hour Romance: Leah & Mike’s Engagement in Sorrento
Leah and Mike’s engagement session in Sorrento was so fun and relaxed — bathed in golden light, full of laughter, quiet glances, and the unmistakable romance of the Sorrento Coast.
We started at the serene Sorrento Cloisters, where history hangs in the air and ivy wraps around ancient stone archways. Leah wore a sunny yellow dress that created a beautiful pop of colour and evoked the lemon vibe of the South of Italy.
From there, we wandered through the charming cobblestone streets of Sorrento. As we strolled past pastel facades and flowering balconies, the town seemed to slow to match their pace — each step intimate, joyful, and easy.
Our next stop was the vibrant Marina Grande, where the sea sparkled against a backdrop of brightly colored fishermen’s houses. Leah's yellow dress, now glowing against the vivid hues of the harbor. They shared a quiet Italian coffee by the water, before we wandered around the marina exploring the fishing boats and spectacular views.
As the sun began to dip, we made our way toward Hotel Tramontano for the final part of the shoot. Leah changed into a deep blue jumper suit, a stunning contrast to the earlier warmth of her yellow dress. The look was perfectly suited for the moody, fading light.
With the hotel’s terraced gardens and breathtaking sea views as a backdrop, Leah and Mike held each other close, the golden hour giving way to blue hour — soft, dreamy, and full of promise.
One thing I hear from nearly every couple I photograph here is how Sorrento is even more beautiful than they imagined. And it’s true, between the long, golden sunsets, the historic architecture, the vibrant houses hugging the coastline, and the breathtaking view of Mount Vesuvius across the bay,
there’s something truly special in the air. It’s a place that holds you
in the moment, and photographing Leah and Mike here was pure joy from
start to finish.
