Erin & Charles' Villa Cimbrone Elopement

I love elopement weddings for a number of reasons, but one of my favourite reasons is because I get to know the bride and groom a little better than I do for a big wedding. That, and more time for couples photos which I love ;-) For and elopement the day starts out calm, and we have time to chat as the bridal preparations begin. On this particular day we began Erin's preparations at 'Villa Amore', a name that could not be more fitting for this couple. In between having her hair and makeup done Erin made a few special calls to family members so they could take part in the wedding day from afar. There were so many signs that their families were with them and supporting them, even though they were not physically present. Erin's earrings were a special gift from her sister, Erin had embroidered Charles' daughters names onto her veil so they would be a part of the ceremony, and family was a big part of Erin and Charles' personal vows that they shared with each other. The weather gave us a little of everything on this magnificent May day, sun to wind, a little cloud, and some light rain. But weather like this only makes Villa Cimbrone more beautiful for a wedding. Right before the ceremony was about to begin it seemed like there was going to be a little rain shower, but as soon as Erin began walking down the aisle towards Charles, a beautiful ray of sun shone down illuminating her veil and throughout the entire ceremony the sun shone for them. A fitting symbol of happiness for these two.
After the ceremony they toasted their new life together with champagne, and we toured Villa Cimbrone's gardens taking pictures. We finished the session on the gorgeous Infinity terrace, and I left them to enjoy a fantastic tasting dinner for two.

An Intimate Spring Wedding At Villa Magia In Positano - Suzanne & Joe

Romantic Florals, Lemon Details, and a Touch of Italian Magic

A Warm Italian Welcome

The celebration began the moment guests arrived in Positano. Each was greeted with a hand-crafted welcome bag filled with local goodies including artisan almond snacks, limoncello, local lemon soaps, maps of Positano, and a personalized note from the couple. It was a thoughtful, heartfelt gesture that set the tone for the days ahead and made guests feel instantly at home in this cliffside paradise.

A Villa Made for Romance

Villa Magia, with its panoramic terraces, articulated spaces, and infinity views of the Mediterranean, offered the ideal setting for Suzanne and Joe’s intimate gathering. The villa’s old-world charm and luxury touches created a truly magical atmosphere for their day.

Their spring wedding was the perfect blend of romance, intimacy, and spontaneity, filled with soft hues, citrus touches, and unforgettable moments—planned and unplanned—that made it uniquely theirs.

As the ceremony hour approached, an unexpected twist added a heartfelt layer to the day: the officiant was delayed due to heavy Positano traffic because of the holiday weekend. But thanks to the grace and quick thinking of La Calla Wedding Planners, not a moment was lost. They kept the mood light and the day perfectly on track.

In a gesture that could only happen in Italy, the kind owner of Villa Magia stepped in to officiate the ceremony himself. The result was personal, intimate, and deeply moving—turning a hiccup into one of the most unforgettable parts of the day.

Standing on the panoramic terrace, with loved ones gathered close and the sea stretching endlessly behind them, Suzanne and Joe exchanged vows that felt all the more special for the spontaneity. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

Sunset, Dinner & Dancing

After the heartfelt ceremony, guests sipped prosecco as the sun dipped behind the cliffs. Dinner was served al fresco under the stars, with a feast inspired by Campanian flavors—handmade pasta and fresh seafood.

Pale Pink Florals & Lemon Details

Suzanne and Joe embraced a romantic, garden-inspired palette of pale pink and white florals, artfully arranged on their imperial table. Roses and lisianthus danced with soft greenery to create a look that was effortlessly elegant.

Adding a playful touch of Italian charm, each place setting featured lemon place cards, matching bespoke lemon-themed stationery that brought vibrant, sunny color to the table. It was a nod to the region’s iconic citrus groves and a sweet way to weave local flavor into their design.

As night fell, the celebration continued with music, laughter, and limoncello toasts, the lights of Positano twinkling below like a second sky.

A Wedding to Remember

Suzanne and Joe’s Villa Magia wedding was more than beautiful—it was personal, heartfelt, and full of unexpected magic. Proof that even when things don’t go exactly as planned, love always finds its way and sometimes, it’s even better than imagined.
