Positano is beautiful at golden hour. The way the warm sun creates the most dreamy light before disappearing behind the mountains, bathing the cliffs and cobbled streets in soft golden light. For this engagement shoot, I met the couple at the iconic Positano beach, just as the day began its golden descent.
Traditional fishing boats lined up on the beach, their weathered paint and hand-tied nets adding a touch of timeless charm. Nearby, colourful striped sunbeds began to empty out at the end of the beach day, their owners gone for aperitivo, leaving the beach quieter. The couple strolled in the warm sand, carefree and radiant.
We wandered toward the dock overlooking an ancient Positano watch tower, where they sat side by side on the stone steps, watching the sun hover just above the horizon. The golden light wrapped around them casting soft glows on their smiles and glints on her ring.
From there, we followed the winding, narrow streets through Positano, past boutiques filled with hand-painted ceramics and a bronze statue of Pan. The textures and colors of this cliffside town created a perfect, living backdrop—romantic, old-world, and effortlessly stylish.
The session came to a perfect close at Hotel Marincanto, where the couple had arranged a private dinner overlooking the town. As the lights of Positano began to twinkle in the dusk and the stars appeared, they toasted to love, laughter, and their upcoming journey together.
